Fractangular Gathering is happy to announce the return of the Art Trail which takes place throughout the festival site in many shapes and forms.
We have decided to use a selection process for the 2016 Art Trail. This will assist in selecting suitable artworks for the festival’s outdoor environment. There is no longer an entry fee, making it open to a wider scope of artists and still with the opportunity to win a cash prize. The same voting format will continue to be used whereby festival attendees vote for their favourite artwork, the one with the most votes wins.
The selection process is part of encouraging artists to develop their career skills as well as being challenged by the unpredictable outdoor environment and festival setting.
Selection Criteria
1. Suitability and durability in all outdoor (Tasmanian) weather types.
2. Quality of the work.
3. How it will enhance the Fractangular experience and vision.
Applications are now open for the Art Trail.
