Yesterdays Gentlemen

Sin & Tonics Guitar man , “Eddo” Edmondson,  presents his newest incarnation, Yesterday’s Gentlemen,  a brown-suit-crumpled-hat-and-stained-tie quartet inspired by jazz and blues gentlemen from yesteryear. Eddo blends these influences into a songwriting narrative shaped by his Tasmanian roots in surfing, punkabilly, retro cars and tattoos. Yesterday’s Gentlemen brew them into a gumbo rife with misadventure, love, loss, reverence, sin and salvation.

Joining Eddo and hailing originally from New Orleans on keys is Steve Young, Sin-and-Tonics Drummer, Bert “Sideburn” Pittfield, and double-bassist, Olly Plapp.  The band has played for both the Hobart and Launceston Blues clubs, MONA Lawn Stage, Faux Maux, Dark MoFo, Clarence Jazz Festival, local Hobart pubs like the Republic, Winston, Homestead, the Lark, as well as performing in Adelaide’s landmark club, Governor Hindmarsh.
