From 2005 marty Niehoff has been listening, writing and performing electronic music. From the age of 18 he found himself playing as a regular live act in the Melbourne 2007- 2010 psy/outdoor/club scene with friend daniel schmolling in S&M Project. Then set off to travel Oz and write tunes everywhere stealing samples and plugins from everyone. Setting out to create a solid dark but funky psychedelic style with the classic S&M minimal sound using FL10 and a novation xiosynth25 (currently learning ableton8 for live sets and for future production). Knarrl has been based in Perth for 2010-11 which has given the time to collect new production toys and learn more about the digital side of music production along with collaborations with Psiralife, Hypogeo, shie ox and Oli b and thegoblinproject. He continues shopping around for new tricks and styles to influence his sound and plays as a solid regular in the Werstern Australian outdoor scene for the past 2 years. Knarrl has releases in the works and an EP on Psydonia records, zerograivtyrecs and horsepower production all very close. Knarrl is always sure to rock the floor and get your full attention.
