We love families, we are a family. We have mums, dads, kids, sisters and brothers even from another mother. We believe as humans of this earth that we are one big family no matter how old or young or where your from.
There are a variety of activities for all ages to enjoy at the festival including our fantastic and ever growing kids bush playground nestled amongst the shady wattle forest where you can let your offspring roam wild. We always have face painting, fun circus workshops and art and craft sessions over the festival weekend. We also have family day shows, roving performances, interactive art and spaces and plenty of dancefloor action to enjoy a boogy with your youngens.
We’ve not had one kid complain yet!
We will be paying special attention to Families at our 2017 gathering after taking note from attendees from 2015 and 2016 gatherings. Things we will improve on:
- Camping - upgraded family camp where no loud campers will be let to camp, and will be in a quieter setting.
- Change of festival programming whereby the Canopy stage will not run 24 hours from saturday to sunday. The music will stop on both Friday and Saturday night on this stage as it does on the Rumpus stage and in The Velveteen Lounge.
- We will continue to provide and build upon our kids activities on offer over the weekend. The addition of Kids activities with Cla in 2016 was received so well we are having her back in 2017.
